Overview

Musico is an all-in-one platform, designed to help music schools and studios provide extraordinary teaching experiences for their students.

The Studio is a lesson-building tool, that allows teachers and school admins to easily create customizable teaching units such as lessons, quizzes, and exercises.

Each unit can be built from 1 to 5 building blocks:

  1. Instructions: Text editor for writing task description, and adding links and emojis.

  2. Sheet Music: Upload an unlimited number of notation files.

  3. Audio: Record or upload relevant audio channels, loop them together, and add samples.

  4. Video: Record videos, upload, or link a song from YouTube.

  5. Whiteboard: Use a library of musical worksheet templates, add photos, draw notes and musical symbols.

Problems
& Pain points

  1. As self-learning apps become more popular and accessible, these new virtual competitors require teachers to stand out.

  2. In today's world, students are easily distracted, which means they practice less. That is why teachers are looking for new ways to keep their students engaged.

  3. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, most schools and studios have moved to hybrid teaching, which requires a flexible platform that can adapt to unexpected changes.

  4. Music lessons in the US are typically about 40 minutes long. Offering teachers and schools a tool that consolidates all their resources into one platform, will save teachers a great deal of time and allow them to maximize their earnings.

  5. Many teachers deal with busy parents who aren't always involved in the student's homework or making sure they have the proper equipment for the lesson.

Solution

A gamified, intuitive, and colorful learning environment in which all resources and communication are gathered in one place.

  1. Allow a modular lesson structure to fit different types of teachers and students, from a single resource like audio recording to a full flow of music sheets, videos, and chord charts.

  2. Integrating real-time control that enables both sides to work simultaneously on the same lesson and co-respond live.

  3. Include music teaching orient tools, such as:

    • Changing tempo, Transposition, and Metronome.

    • Whiteboard stamps with music symbols.

    • Whiteboard templates ready-to-use like Music Staff, Chord diagram, Keyboard and Fretboard drawings, etc.

    • Provide a live music sheet using an XML file, using a cursor that highlights the notes as the notes are played.
